Engr. Sanchez has 35-years of diversified experience in design and analysis of high-rise buildings up to 40-storey, large scale commercial, industrial plants, oil refinery, school buildings, communication towers, guyed tower, roof mounted antenna, mass housing, silos, piers, revetment structures, cement plant, rehabilitation of existing buildings, and rectification of fire – damaged structures, slope protection, rock fall analysis, civil works, cell on wheels, mining primary crusher. He is skilled in the use of engineering design and analysis commercial software such as SAP 2000, ETABS Non-Linear, Seismo Struct, Seismo Build, Extensive use of MATHCAD calculation for design check. He is knowledgeable of Structural Code such as UBC 97, AISC, ACI 318-19, NSCP 2015.
He obtained his Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering at the University of Sto. Tomas and was a recipient of a Certificate of Recognition for having the highest weighted average among Civil Engineering students. He studied at the University of Toronto in Canada and attained his diploma for Advance Structural Steel Design, Advanced Structural Analysis Hydraulics and Hydrology and Engineering Economic Courses. He also takes up Computer-Aided Structural Analysis and Design course at the Seneca College in Canada.
Prior to establishing the R.B Sanchez Consulting Engineers (RBSCE), Engr. Sanchez served as a Structural Design Manager and Head at the R.S Caparros and Associates. He is also a former Structural Engineer at the Design Management and Development Corporation.
With all of the success, experience and learnings, Engr. Sanchez doesn’t stop to acquire more. He also engaged in researches and testing in collaboration with some companies both local and international such as:




 

• Precast Shearwall In-Plane and Out-of-Plane Reversed Cyclic Testing was held in Tsukuba Building Test Laboratory in Japan.
• Low Cycle Fatigue Rebar Testing of Vanadium Reinforcing Bars vs. Quenched Tempered Reinforcing Bars was held in DNV GL Laboratory in Singapore.
• Low Cycle Fatigue Rebar Testing of High-Strength Reinforcing Bars (Grade 75) and its Inelastic Buckling Effects was also held in DNV GL Laboratory in Singapore.
• Blind Prediction Analysis: Steel Hospital Shake Table Set was supported by the Tokyo Metropolitan Resilience Project of the National Research Institute for Earth Science and Disaster Resilience (NIED) in Japan.
• Assessment of the Deformation Compatibility of Hollowcore Floor Unit Connections to Special Moment Resisting Frame Beams under Cyclic Loading was held in Philco Façade Testing Laboratory with the assistance of Megawide Construction Corporation.
• Dextra Testing was held in Thailand.
• Flat Slab Third Rotational Bend Twist Mode Test with Load Protocol to 6 Percent Drift was held in Philco Façade Testing Laboratory in Philippines.
